Oversizing a small Grayhawk plan
Why here: A 1,700 to 2,200 square foot home with two baths cannot use the output of a 199,000 BTU unit, and the extra capacity is paid for in equipment cost and sometimes in gas line work that was never needed.
What we do: We count fixtures and calculate against a 55 degree winter rise. Smaller Grayhawk plans are frequently well matched to a 150,000 to 160,000 BTU condensing unit.
